Center’s E-Market Portal Catches Amazon, Flipkart: Economic Research

The Financial Survey mentioned on Tuesday that the wholesome development within the provide of products and providers by central and state governments via the GeM portal has helped the platform meet up with world e-commerce giants like Amazon and Flipkart.

The State e-Market (GeM) portal was launched by the Ministry of Commerce on 9 August 2016 for on-line purchases of products and providers from all central authorities ministries and departments and different establishments, together with public sector models.
